Sponsored Review: Yesfor

This is a sponsored review. Regardless, all opinions given are completely my own and unbiased, formulated by my own personal experience with the shop!

Today I'm going to be reviewing my sponsored package from Yesfor! Yesfor is an international clothing and accessory supplier based in China, whose mission is to provide a large selection of the latest fashion trends for the lowest possible prices and a free shipping option. With over 30,000 likes on Facebook and having shipped to over 200 locations worldwide, I trust that Yesfor can fulfill customer satisfaction.

In June, I received a message on Lookbook from Yvonne, a lovely woman in Yesfor's marketing department, inquiring whether or not I would be interested in a partnership with the company. Unfortunately I had neglected that account for quite some time and didn't see or respond to the message until the 18th of August. Luckily the offer was still open and details were discussed. I was able to choose up to $35 worth of any products of my choosing and I was able to select five pieces with the allotted budget: two scarves (1 | 2), a knit headwrap, leg warmers, and a dress. Yvonne was kind in her communication with me while still maintaining a great level of professionalism.

On August 20th, I had completed correspondence with Yvonne on the details of the shipment. I'm not entirely sure of the exact date my package was shipped, but it arrived at my place on September 6th, which is only a little over two weeks from our final exchange. Considering the package was delivered from China, the shipping time was fairly quick!

The package came in a large plastic bag.

There was no damage done during the shipping process. All of my products came wrapped individually in clear plastic bags.

I'll begin my review with the scarves!

You can never have too many scarves and with my love for warmth and the fact that the colder seasons are approaching, I just had to pick this knit infinity scarf! It fits the product description as being "elastic" and "light weight" perfectly. It definitely has a lot of stretch to it, which makes it perfect for doubling up! It's a cotton blend wool, so even though it's not very heavy or thick as shown in the third photograph, it's still quite warm and it isn't itchy at all. The size of the scarf is consistent with the measurements given on the website.

As you can see, the actual color of the scarf (seen in my pictures) is a bit different from the product photo found on the website. With this find, I would trust the product descriptions over the photographs in terms of color. Even though the photo shows a cream color, it was still described as beige in the title and specifications. The disconnect could come from a variety of factors, such as my monitor brightness, color projections, or even the lighting when the product photograph was taken!

My only complaint with this piece is the visible seam on the outside of it. I don't think the correct pattern was used to make the scarf, which is why something like this would have happened. The seam can be hidden during wear by doubling it up! Aside from this, there are no defects. There are no loose strings, snags, or imperfections in the rest of the stitching. It comes in nine different colors.

The second scarf I chose was due to the interesting aesthetic of the piece! It's a sheer, thin fabric with a crochet-like overlay. It's not very practical for warmth, but it will be perfect for layering with other, heavier pieces, such as the infinity scarf above. The colorway I chose was apricot, to best match the rest of my wardrobe, but there are nine to choose from including a nice pale pink! The details are really pretty and fairly intricate, but because there is little contrast between the detailing and sheer fabric, it doesn't look busy or cluttered.

I failed to notice before making my selection that there were two different product photographs for this scarf. One that has a 3d flower detail and one that does not. The scarf I received is obviously the one that does not have the 3d detailing. I actually didn't notice that there was a difference in what I expected to receive and what I actually received because I liked the design of it so much, but it could possibly be a problem to others who wish to make a purchase.

In addition to the unexpected variation, the tulle-like fabric does not always line up with the edge of the detailing. Because it's so sheer, it's not at all noticeable except upon close inspection and it's an easy fix as I can snip away on the extra bits as needed, but it was something I felt needed to be noted for review's sake. There aren't any tears in the tulle, no snags or loose thread in the detailing, and the size of the scarf is consistent with what is listed in the item's specifications. Regardless of the imperfections and that I didn't get what I initially thought I was getting, I'm still really thrilled with what a cool addition this will be to my fall / winter wardrobe!

Next I'll be reviewing the knit headwrap

I've always wanted one of these, but have never been able to find any cute ones at a decent price. The one I found on Yesfor had everything I've been wanting in this particular kind of accessory: button closure so I could put it on and take it off without making my hair look like a mess, and a flower detail that matches the rest of the wrap! The material is extremely warm and fairly thick. It's a bit stretchy, which is great as it can fit different head sizes and shapes. The button is attached securely as well as the flower. Nothing came loose upon some light tugging.

I did find a couple loose threads around the button on the wrap. It was a problem that I was able to fix in under 30 seconds by tying it around it's surrounding areas and then cutting off the excess.

This is what it looked like after fixing it up!

In addition to that, there is a bit of wonky stitching at the front of the headwrap. The color is consistent with the product photographs and specifications given on the website as well as the dimensions listed. All in all, even with it's imperfections, this is probably my favorite knit piece that I own. This comes in 5 different colors, all of which would work perfectly with the typical, warm autumnal color schemes!

Next up are the leg warmers!

These are literally perfect. There are no loose threads or snags. The pattern has no imperfections and is consistent throughout on both of the warmers. They're decently stretchy and extremely comfortable and soft. The thickness is enough to provide a fair amount of warmth, perfect for autumn and layering over tights when it gets colder in the winter. The color matches exactly with those in the product photographs and description and the dimensions also match up with the listed specifications.

In addition to what was stated above, there are no visible seams on the outside of the leg warmers. I folded them over at the inside seam to show that there's no indication visible when it's right side out and in turn, when wearing. These come in four different colors.

Finally I'm going to be reviewing the dress.

This dress is a super cute, subtly high-low swing dress with short lace sleeves, a slit in the back, and an attached slip underneath! Due to the material, it came a bit wrinkled, but I'll be taking care of that the same way I plan on doing so with the Omocat jacket from my previous review: bringing it into the bathroom with me while I shower to steam them out! This dress comes in Asian sizes, so bear this in mind when ordering. The measurements will be a bit smaller than standard US, and the length will be slightly shorter. I am 5'6" and would not recommend this garment as a dress for anyone taller than me (see photographs at the top and bottom of the review for reference on length). It has a conducive fit for being worn as a tunic as well, so taller folk can pair it with leggings or a petticoat underneath instead!

Chiffon overlays a slightly shiny slip. The shine is muted due to the overlay, which I personally think is a good thing as it looks more expensive. Even with the slip underneath, this is a fairly sheer dress, so I would recommend an additional short slip to wear under or a body suit if you're not too self conscious about showing a little more skin when the sun hits the garment right. The closure is via three pearlescent buttons and stretchy cord loops at the top. There is no zipper, but the open slit and flowy shape of the dress allow for it to be comfortably put on with no worry that tearing will happen.

There were a couple loose threads on the inside of the dress around the area of the collar, but aside from that, there was no tearing or snagging anywhere on it, not even on the lace. The product photographs match the actual garment in both color and fit. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of the piece overall.
